During the practice match on Saturday, January 22 (2022) between FC Groningen o21 against PEC Zwolle o21, we were allowed to use the AXIWI communication system as a trio. Working with a referee communication system was the first time for my colleagues. I had been allowed to use this system several times before. My experiences with this system have been positive so far. The sound is clear, does not fall away, and everyone can be heard clearly. Furthermore, the sound of the wind is not filtered (or the panting of a colleague etc) while running. We did not find this disturbing, and it was not at the expense of the sound quality.

The nice thing is that the microphone can be adjusted to place at the height of the mouth. Several tips are available for a good fit in the ear and prevent the headset from falling out. The hook in front of/behind the ear is unfortunately not adjustable. However, you can stick it on with a piece of tape so that it stays in place. Handy that the headset can be worn on both the left and the right by simply turning the earpiece. In addition, you can switch off the microphones with a simple push of a button during, for example, the rest and switch it on again when the rest is over.

We are enthousiastic, and if we can lead a match together again, we would like to use the AXIWI communication system again!
